Queen Victoria, Fragile Series

2020

Charcoal on textured paper

35.5 x 25 cm

Colonial sculptures have seen the Empire demolish before their eyes, they’re a silent witness of the past. This project reveals the legacy of the colonial image regime and examines the impact this has had on the contemporary society, leaving the oppressed fragile.
It also exposes the perishable nature of sculptures and indicates their ultimate fate.
